Lombok Casserole Oval

All the pieces in our beautiful Lombok Collection are handmade by a small island community of potters on the Island of Lombok. The terracotta is baked in the ground using an ancient natural technique gives the dishes a unique organic and elegant look. Strong enough to use on the stovetop, in the oven or microwave, this cookware heats evenly and is renowned for its heat retaining properties. Cooking pieces are to be sealed before use. Filling the piece 3/4 full with water and placing uncovered in an oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius. Sealing will continue to improve with each use. For best results during long slow cooking, place a piece of baking paper between the pot and the lid. To clean, a quick soak and wipe down with a sponge or soft cloth is all that is needed. Abrasive cleaners or the dishwasher are not recommended, nor should it be soaked for long periods of time. Not suitable for dishwasher.
